Lately, I’ve been particularly struck by bold combinations of colors, coupled with gentle patterns. I love seeing the floppy, big-headed peonies, which are just barely dusted with a pale tint of pink, paired with blueish-green hues. I particularly like the idea of using them with rebelliously beautiful, spiky succulents.
Love the Look: Textures, Patterns & Colors
Below, I adore the way the bold table cloth blends in as a nice, supportive background for the otherwise simple table set-up. I’ve come across a lot of pairings of fonts and light colors for printed materials like the menu pictured here, which seems very appropriate for weddings. When you think about it, weddings are really all about marrying two types of style, so why not make that apparent from the get-go, with invitations, menus and flowers?
All in all, its the eclectic and dainty beauty of this French-inspired wedding set-up, intended for a brunch celebration, that really gets me. Or I get it. Either way, it’s a beautiful thing to see wedding decor come together in a way that touts originality, but keeps things basic. And it’s the careless joie de vivre feel about it that I so dearly love.
